Is the O in God for Orgasm?

Personally, I don’t think God gets enough credit for orgasms. God did the big one with orgasms! I’m not sure why in religious communities we don’t speak freely about sex and carnal pleasure; the scriptures speak freely about not only sex, but also situations arising from and leading to sex.

Whether it be Adam and Eve setting off the whole human family in the Hebrew Scriptures, or in the Holy Quran, where Allah instructs men to put some good forth before getting it on, God does not shy away from the topic…so I figured, why should I?

Sometimes things have to be broken for you to heal. My understanding of marriage was one of them. I was raised in a household to “date with a view to marriage”. Raised in several religions where I never looked deeply enough into doctrine to see that God did not require the faulty definition of sacrifice that I had adopted to receive blessings…that God did not want my tears on the altar of polytheism. Until recently, it did not occur to me that divorce was an option. Until it became the only option. My ex-husband telling me the truth, after years of both he and I lying to me, became the catalyst that ushered me into my next stage of life.
